Our Story
Understanding the demands on Interior Designers, Warp & Weft was established in 2004 to provide a consultancy based service enabling the supply of carpets to be simple and efficient. Over the last 11 years, the team has steadily grown in size and developed additional areas of expertise, allowing us to now also cater for architects, contractors and retailers.
Our expansive portfolio of products, ranging from simple stocked carpets to intricate handmade rugs, has evolved over the past ten years and our premises have grown to accommodate this expansion. Our headquarters now includes offices, warehousing and a workshop dedicated to the handcrafting of bordered rugs and runners. Our installation service supervised by our Contracts Manager is valued by many of our clients.
We provide creative solutions for the most demanding situations (as well as technical support and attention to detail) minimising the burden on our busy clients. Our products and services combined mean we are truly the only flooring supplier many of our customers call upon.
The Short Story
Matt discovered the delights of textile floor coverings whilst working during university holidays in his uncle’s carpet shop. Several years later he set up Warp & Weft so he could share his love of fluffy flooring with the interior design trade.
Ten years on and joined now by Steve, Dan, Rebecca and Wayne, the Warp & Weft team continues to blend fashion, service, knowledge and skills unlike any other carpet supplier (we truly are carpet geeks!)

Matthew
Managing Director
Matt’s obsession with textile floorings is central to the Warp & Weft process. The breadth of knowledge he shares with his designers ensures that the chosen carpet or rug are the very best suited to their clients scheme. Outside of the office Akela Matt can be found camping with his group of twenty-five cub scouts.
Steve
Contracts Manager
Steve has fitting in his blood - his parents were carpet fitters. With a no-nonsense attitude and a remarkable ability to problem solve he overcomes the trickiest of issues that present themselves on site. Steve’s an avid Arsenal fan and a doting grandfather.
Daniel
Sales Manager
Dan’s passion for communication ensures that our clients are fully informed of every detail they require for their order or project. However with two young children at home, sleep is at a premium, so best to call after he has had his first cup of coffee.
Rebecca
Company Secretary
Bec organises the team, manages the accounts and guards our chequebook. Her efficiency is unequalled – she gets things done whilst others are considering where to start. When not keeping us in check Bec teaches English for a local charity and is kept busy with two young sons.
Wayne
Rug Craftsman
With a brand new sewing machine for Christmas, Wayne is now the fastest rug taper in the West. He handcrafts beautiful bespoke rugs to any specification. When he isn’t handling a needle and thread he keeps his mind focussed through fitness and amateur boxing.
